View Full Version : still happily married...
Baboon 06-03-2008, 07:19 AM Today is our 7th wedding anniversary. :) I tell my wife that it's been the best seven years of her life. :D Seriously though, it's been a great seven years and I would certainly marry her again (we've been together 11 years).
We agreed during year one of the marriage not to exchange anniversary gifts. So, I gave her a card and inside the card I told her she could chop down that tree on the side of the house. She's been wanting to for three years now but I haven't let her. She was stoked. :D
Dreamintree01 06-03-2008, 07:33 AM You're so cute. Happy 7 years! That's so awesome, baboon.
Saison 06-03-2008, 07:42 AM Congrats Baboon & Mrs. Baboon! Having a happy marriage is a rarity these days!! :D
Shandril105 06-03-2008, 08:29 AM Congrats Baboon! Love to hear that another "old married couple" is going strong. 13 years for me and loving it says I!
grimrebuke 06-03-2008, 11:46 AM Congratulations Baboons!
Juliet 06-03-2008, 01:08 PM Wow! 11 years of still keeping the marriage vows... I salute to these kind of people... :)

You just have to know my wife. :D She is excited that she gets to use a CHAINSAW!
Thanks for the wishes, everyone! We're going out for "upscale" Mexican food tonight.

No wonder you're happily married, you've got no choice! :eek3:
Thanks for the wishes, everyone! We're going out for "upscale" Mexican food tonight.
Seriously though, good for you!
Evil Elmo 06-03-2008, 07:48 PM strangely enough, there is such a thing as expensive mexican food.....dunno if I would call it upscale. I guess upscale would mean that they make the tortillas in house or at least the guacamole. :eek3:
tinhorn 06-04-2008, 12:07 AM Congrats!
Of course, your deeply romantic nature surely helped.

The place we went to last night makes their own chips and tortillas. They also make fresh guacamole right at the table. When you sit at your table, there is a bowl with an avacado, tomato and lime in it which you can have them use to make you the guac if you so choose.
The interior of the place was swanky and they had a very impressive tequila list, but the food itself was just "decent." The food at the more laid back, less expensive place a mile from my house is better.

The quality of Mexican food is inversely proportionate to the condition of the establishment. :|
Just sayin' :D
PlatyGuy 06-04-2008, 12:57 PM Congrats, Baboon and Babette! (ducks)
So, since you're in my area, what Mexican places are these?

The best Mexican food I've ever had was at some hole in the wall place in North Carolina. When I walked in and saw all Mexican patrons, I knew the place would be gold.
Congrats, Baboon and Babette! (ducks)

Last night I ate here - Agave Grill. (Southington, CT location): http://www.agavehartford.com/index.html
I like Puerto Vallarta better. They have four Connecticut locations.

Still, neither of them are as good as the place in North Carolina or any of the three places I ate at in Southern California.
Monster 06-04-2008, 01:29 PM Well of course they're not. SoCal Mexican food is probably the best you'll find outside of Mexico.
For obvious reasons. :p

I have noticed this too. not to mention they all dress like prostitots. but occasionally I see at least one hot piece of latina ass that makes my jaw drop. it is soooooo not the cereal that is to blame. it's churros and indian fry bread.

Prostitots. How appropriate.:nice:
Too bad the "hot latina ass" is likely only 12.:|

That's one thing about latin girls. They all look young and could be anywhere from 14 to 40.
And I don't like "Americanized" hispanic women, if that makes sense.

I don't blame you. I'm only half myself. My dad doesn't like them either. My mom's redheaded Irish! :nice:
