nothing but Zaino has been put on this car, all motorcraft syn/blend every 4-5k miles, NEVER did a burn out, prob 1/2 tread still left
Ponycar_302 07-08-2002, 11:51 PM I'd run it through Kelly Blue Book's site to see what it's worth. Then add up all the extras and subtract 10-20 % from the total. Add the KBB price and the number from the mods and that should be about fair.
Swappy 07-09-2002, 12:34 AM Why are you selling it?
Wedge 07-09-2002, 12:40 AM if i had a million dollars..
i would so buy a MG GT.. wait.. if i had that much.. probably a saleen instead.. ;)
but sweet car.. i would try my best to keep her
snacky, I dunno.. the wife wants to get rid of it.. it is in her name, I said do wtf ever you want to with it.. I don't care.. I am tired of arguing with her about it.
Her argument is that she only drives 1 mile round trip for work a day.. she doesn't need a nice NEW car and payment, and would be perfectly happy with a 1982 ford bronco beater!!!
My argument is that she went to college, graduated, has a good job.... she deserves a nice car.. yet, I still don't know what her deal is. But if she wants to **** up and sale it, that can be her mistake.
I checked KBB and Edumnds etc..... big range in prices. I would love to get 20k for it, but I see similar and some nicer cars, goign for less on ebay and in the paper etc ... I am afraid we are going to lose an assload of money if we sale it.
good news, kinda. Wife has always wanted an Audi TT. Well, we looked at some this week. I told her if she could hold off another year on her car, pay extra every note, we could sale it next summer and get an Audi. I think she likes the idea
anyone know much about these cars? I know they are Turbo 4bangers w/ about 185hp. Very nice looking car. Front wheel drive etc... about 32k new. I figure we could find a nice used one for mid 20's. Wouldn't be too bad.
She also said she liked the newer tahoes  (I soooo hate chebby trucks) which wouldn't be too bad, we could use it to tow.
Basically, I think she has cooled off to the idea of selling her car for now, thank God:rolleyes:

ONE MILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why does she even need a CAR!!!!!!!!
You americans never fail to amaze me! Its sickening!
QtrHrsmn 07-13-2002, 10:17 AM Once the Stang is gone....you'll miss it....convince her to transfer title to you, and then put it in the garage for an investment.... 20 years from now it'll be worth 4 times the purchase price, if things keep going the way they are.

more or less, yes. It is just over half a mile each way. She wanted to get a scooter to ride, but I am afraid she would end up getting killed on it, and that would be BAD. We live off of Airline Hw, it is like the second busies hiway into the city.
it is amazing that she only drives 1 or 2 miles a day, yet has already hit 20k miles on a car that is only 1 year 5 mos old :D We go out of town all the time, my parents place is 370ish miles round trip, Monroe is about 600, and her dad's place is 150 round trip.. We go somewhere each month

You americans never fail to amaze me! Its sickening! To go to work may be 1 mile.... but the store may be 20 miles... or the mall, or whatever.... Tam, America is a car society. Almost everything we do revolves around a car somehow. Look at me, I walk across the backyard to work, yet I have 5 street legal cars and 2 trucks, and a bike.... not to mention my toys....
Wedge 07-13-2002, 02:32 PM mod the stang.. atleast then it will feel like a new car.. :)

One of the gals that works for me just got one of these, I took it for a drive and was mildly impressed. The thing had GREAT brakes, first gear was way to short as soon as you left a light you were shifting to 2nd. Big time Turbo lag in these cars. It was comfortable to drive, the ergonomics of the thing were pretty much perfect, the sound system kicked butt, lots of neat compartments and so forth. Overall a very nice car, but I won't own one.
Powerboss 07-13-2002, 03:28 PM My POS 99 has only 22k miles on it.
I wont miss mine when I sell it.

exactly... she won't be getting it for performance, but more for personal preference. She/we always wanted a stang, we have had one, it is time to move on.
The Stang has never been over 95, never burned out, never really been run hard at all. At 20k the tires look like new!
QtrHrsmn 07-14-2002, 04:18 AM I told you what I'd give you for it....LOL
