Well, I haven't eaten anything since I got up this morning....yeah...it's about 8:45pm so it's been well over 12 hours. It got me thinkin about what i want to eat.

I've got a hankering for a Redhook Long Hammer IPA and a bigass greasy burger with lettuce, tomato, bacon, onions, and cheese . what are your favorite beer and food pairings?

Hmmm, being Canadian I like Molson's but I really like Corona which I believe is from Mexico and also Heiniken!

Sisig, the ultimate pulutan companion for beer here in the philippines... Around bars and restaurants, the many varieties of sisig dish is a best seller either to go along your favorite drink or to be chowed down with hot steamed rice.... :)

Lambics are a strange breed. The most accessible ones are the lindemans (sp?) framboise. They're pretty low in alcohol and very sweet. Nice for a summer day. I'm fond of a more sour lambic, but then again, my palate is used to it. Best bet is to find a bar with a serious tap collection and order a few tasters. If you're on the east coast, I could make some recommendations.

There's a yummy Italian beer that I used to get. It's a sour brown ale. It's absolutely delicious, though I can't recall the name. :hmm:

I won't find a bar here with a good tap selection. :(

While dining at an Italian restaurant (not the Olive Garden :p), I found that Heineken was a remarkably nice pairing with the Italian food we ordered, which included Spicy Sausage Lentil Soup, Mezzaluna Pasta (stuffed with chicken, ricotta, and spinach in a vodka sauce), Pizza, and that yummy bread with the olive oil and herbs for dipping.

I was actually talking with a friend last night, and she was wondering if there was a type of cookie that goes well with ale. I had no idea, but I thought maybe somebody here might?

The now-defunct Brandywine Brewing Co used to make this gingersnap ale which tasted just like the cookie.

Alternatively, I would consider pairing oreos with oatmeal or chocolate stout (which is an ale).

I had a chocolate something or other at the Bullfrog a few weeks ago, and it was the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted. Many of my beer-lovin' friends agreed. It's so rare that the Bullfrog makes something bad. :nonono:

Beer contamination is an unfortunate problem in the micro industry. :(
