Well, i'll add some more next post... but how about white men? anything to tell us here?? :)

Well, I have no experience myself, but a good friend of mine was tired of American women, so he decided to marry a Korean girl. She claimed to be all about family, loyalty, commitment, and all of those other great things. he figured he had nothing to lose. He divorced her the second time she was impregnated during her extramarital trysts. he couldn't take it anymore.


Another guy I know married Thai girl claiming to possess all of those family values too, and when he found out she had been running an online, web cam/porno site behind his back for almost 4 years, he divorced her. She moved in with one of her customers.

Those are the only ones I've seen up close with people who I know very well.

I know this doesn't mean that all Asians are like these women, nor do I believe that they are, but the question is about experiences. These are the only two I have observed. I will say this; neither one of those girls asked for anything whatsoever when they were thrown out, which is unusual in the US.

This is just my opinion but I think that the reason most asian girls dont ask for anything when they get divorced is because in their countries men dominate so they are accustomed to not getting anything upon divorce! At least that is the way I see it!:)

I think that one of the reasons many white men go to asian countries is because the quality of what you are getting is better, for example they are looking for the type of women that their mothers possess!

I am not saying that the women in the west are any better or worse I am just saying these are the observations that I am seeing!

I agree. I don't think they expect anything, so they don't ask, which in actually is a plus for marrying an Asian woman.

Of course, once they get fully Americanized, that will most likely change. The girls I was talking about above were basically fairly recent immigrants. Neither of them lived in the US for more than 8-10 years.

Two good girlfriends of mine (one Chinese, the other Korean) only date white guys. Both of their fathers are very controlling and I think they want the exact opposite. My friends are both very smart, strong, successful so I can see how that might be a problem. Personally, I wouldn't know though... I like tall guys.:D

I've never dated an Asian woman, but some guys, desperate to avoid American women, claim that Asians are actually quite warm and caring. The only guy I know with actual experience - over ten years living in Japan - told me that Japanese women act very subjective to their husbands in public, but become Queen Bitch at home.

I've observed many foreign exchange students, and the Japanese chicks drive me to picking my ass with their giggling and baby talk. And come to think of it, the last couple of women I observed having public meltdowns were Asian.

well, individual is unique.. We can't generalize people sir...:P


Asians especially filipinas are submissive.. We are family oriented ones.. We love to take care of our husbands and children. We are still the most conservative ones as compared to others ... :)


hmmn, i guess I need not to say more as some others might think that we are the best ones among all of the races.. NO i never say that as good and bad people do exist everywhere... :)

It's not hard to figure out. After a few divorces, losing a couple of houses, kids and boatloads of money, some people may try something different, hoping they'll have a better result.

There are many American men who, once divorced, are through with marriage to an American woman. The family law in most states favors women when it comes to divorce, so lots of people aren't willing to take that risk again. This is very common. There are many American men going overseas for wives. There is a reason for this. people don't just wake up one day and refuse to marry someone from their own country.

Well part of the problem is that inequality in the laws as you have stated! If one of the two partners (man/or woman) has more on the table then I agree that you are taking a tremendous risk as the one with nothing loses nothing but the one with the house or large bank account has much more to lose so I think it only makes sence to be a little more carefull!:)

Well as what being discussed here, we never demand for something when being divorced... So i think that matters most to some AM men... :rolleyes:

I don't get it... Asian, Latina, Arabic, European... if brought up on American soil, are pretty much equal if you ask me. They are all women, and women all over the world have A LOT in common. American Asians are as liberal as any other. That means that no matter how much BS their parents try to feed them in terms of traditional way of living, the external influence will probably prevail, because in America, independance is standard. Some of the smartest business women I know are Asian. And their husbands are white. America is a melting pot. I don't see a distinction in a society of independant women. Having almond shaped eyes makes no difference nowadays, your personality, education and degree of success will determine the company you're in, which could be predominantly white... So what... Asian women are no worse, nor better, than any other round eyed woman out there.

Therefore relationship relies on us and not with our skin color, culture, and whatsoever??

I believe language is of utter importance. I have found it easy as pie to incorporate in a new culture, once I had broken the language barrier. The more you master the language - the more equal and acceptable you become.

There is a universal culture, all societies are more or less ethical, xenophobic, hospitable etc. The more open towards other cultures you are, the more chance you'll marry within the culture of your choice. America is great when it comes to choice, from shopping to marriage, it's all up to you.

yeah, my friend who divorced his Korean wife always complained about their lack of communication, because she never entirely mastered English. Her favorite word was "okay". That was her most common response to almost everything, and half the time she didn't even know what she was saying "okay" to.

I'm dating a Korean man right now, however he was adopted as a 7 mnth old baby by white parents and raised here in New Jersey so there really are no cultural differences between him and me. So yeah, I guess I don't have anything to add to this discussion.
