It looks like Barack Obama's pastor has sunk any chance Obama has had to be nominated for either president or vice president.

It's possible that many Obama fans might take out their frustrations on Hillary Clinton and go out of their way to keep her from getting the nomination.

That would leave no one with enough delegates for a first ballot nomination,on the second ballot any deelgate can vote for anyone they wish to.

Who would be the perfect compromise canidate?

Who could appeal to youth and African-Americans like Obama has and appeal to women, baby boomers and Latinos like Hillary has ,plus have an excellent chance of beating John Mc Cain's ass?

I think the answer is clearly Al Gore.

What say you?

Because no matter the amount of anger and hurt feelings, in the end, the party will put itself back together. If something happens and Obama has to pull out, enough of his supporters will throw their allegiance to Hillary Clinton to give her the nomination (and vice versa). It's not like the ideological differences between the two candidates are so great that Democrats won't cross over. This isn't Ron Paul vs. Rudy Giuliani -- the prime factors here are personality and identity politics.

Plus, if Obama proves to be un-viable and Hillary Clinton has a clear path to the nomination, she is going to fight to the bloody end for it. She is willing to damage her party to get the job, and everybody know it. If a clear choice finally emerges, why bring another mess into the equation?
