Obama biggest test and biggest failure so far is the handling of this situation. His pastor makes it clear he supports Black Liberation Theology*. Obama must either say he was so stupid he did not know that fact, or he must say he no longer believes in that outlook on life.

This whole thing reflects on Obama's political judgement. His inexperience is one of his vulnerable points, yet we've been told that he is smart and not just a good speaker. I would think that a truly sharp politician would have realized a long time ago that a long term association with a pastor like this IS politically damaging, and would have taken pre-emptive steps to blunt the impact from things like this coming out.
