Why? Because I wont vote for Barak? He's more of the same old, same old . Sorry, I see through his lies promises of change. and I also dont fall for the pseudo hype. Barack has gotten as far as he has because of white guilt.

Aside from Barack being black, give me a reason to vote for him.

You're only 30, so I'll give you a pass. You miss the point entirely. It's not about him being "black", as you phrase it, but it's in the desirability of finally tossing out the whole stale and corrupt status-quo in Washington. Clinton(s) included. We have had, in the past, leaders who had the audacity and broadness of vision to lead this country into world leadership and international esteem and respect. Sadly, it's been a long time since we've had a President who commanded anything like this. Obama is not a perfect candidate, but as far as I can tell, he is far less beholden to the entrenched lobbyist factions than either Clinton and McCain (despite his claims ). At this point in time, people have grown increasingly weary of elected officials who do not represent, and even willfully ignore the concerns of the ordinary constituents who have elected them. Obama's supporters believe that he will re-empower them, be concerned about them, and actually listen to them, and I haven't yet seen anything that would make me believe something to the contrary.
No, no politician is perfect, but I'd far rather give the benefit of the doubt to one of them who seems to have consistency and a very solid moral compass as his own personal guide.

My age doesnt matter. I am well aware of the corruption that goes on in Washington DC and its the reason why I am a registered independent. I am fed up with both parties. As a matter of fact, Im fed up with the whole system. I also believe that Barack is no different from all the presidential candidates who have come before him.

I am for real change, thats why I am supporting Ron Paul. He has no gimmicks; he just wants to give power back to the states and rights back to the individuals.

Now, aside from Barack's moral compass, why should I vote for him? What has he accomplished in his time as a senator?

Of course, you're free to vote for whomever you wish, but to just assume that "white guilt" is the reason Obama has been doing as well as he has is specious reasoning on your part.

He's biracial. If he says he's black, he's black.

and if i call a baseball a football that suddenly makes it so? somehow i dont think you would buy that. would you?

if so i have this delightful piece of ocean front property in arizona i'd like to sell you...

and halle berry isnt black either but that doesnt stop her from using only half of her racial make up to claim she's the first black woman to win an academy award for best actress. but we know this isnt so, she's mixed. so she's the first mulatto actually but shhhhhhh, lets keep it a secret cuz being half white just isnt cool.

i wonder how their white parents feel when they see them claim to be black instead of mixed. shame comes to mind if it were me. then disowning them would be next.

try basing your opinion about this on facts. they are mixed. FACT. they claim to be black but they are not. FACT

what else is there to say? i could try and say im of italian descent but that doesnt make it so no matter how much i want to believe it to be true or claim it to be so. fact is i'm not italian nor is anyone in my family.

they are not black, they are mixed. claiming to be black doesnt make them so no more than their genetic make up will allow them to be.

but dont let pesky things like facts stop you from believing them when they claim to be black.

You can't blame "the media" OR "THE LIBERALS" for Keyes being a loser,it's the Republicans themselfs who won't vote for him.
