View Full Version : Was McCain a naughty boy?
zipper99 02-21-2008, 01:39 AM NY Times is going to run a story about McCain and an "inappropriate relationship" with a female lobbyist - back 2000 :eek7:
They seem to suggest that although there was no ":p" someone on his team had to intercede and tell him to cool his jets before it became public..
Maybe nothing, certainly ancient news, wonder if this was Clinton's digging or if the lady decided she could get some publicity (= $$) for this story....
Snouter 02-21-2008, 01:54 AM It would only be inappropriate if it was with a disgusting, repulsive thing like Hillary. :p
Betty 02-21-2008, 08:15 AM The story's a sham. Hardly a single source, and one of the guys they did interview (who is a democrat and part of the original investigation btw) said they ignored all the overwhelming evidence he presented clearing him.
Diverlady 02-21-2008, 09:18 AM After reading the story a couple of times the part the worries me is not the relationship but rather the reporting that he acted on behalf of her clients in calling and writing government agencies. For a guy who disavows any connection with lobbyists having as he describes a close friendship with a lobbyist is a problem in and of itself. If he did act on her behalf its a bigger problem.
On another issue have you seen his wife on TV? Her eye makeup is literally scary. Her light eyes and the dark makeup make her look as if she had no eyes but was rather some zombie from hell. I would worry if I was his advisor and get her to lihten up her makeup. Maybe its only a thing a woman would notice. but look close next time you see her on TV.

I tend to agree. McCain is clearly impotent, which is the source of his worldview.
fat mike 02-21-2008, 04:28 PM if there wasnt any force or "pressure" who cares? its just another dude losing control over a broad
Truth Teller 02-21-2008, 04:47 PM I don't care if Mc Cain got a side order or not.
Of course,it being a lobbyist does hurt his stand against "special interests" [a stand that I respect him for] and it could legally be construed as bribery [which is why Senator Bob Livingston resigned during the Clinton Impeachment hearings when Larry Flynt found out about Livingston boning a lobbyist].
Even throught the Republican pundits are playing "Stand By Your Man" with Mc Cain ,it's quite obvious to me this story was leaked by far right-wing Republicans who don't want to see Mc Cain nominated and are trying to force a brokered convention with this.

Define a Republican pundit and name one that supports McCain the way the Democrats and the left wing media supported Billary regarding the blue dress.

It is quite obvious that you are insane if you actually believe what you type. The NY Times are pro-Zionist (pro-neo-con), but they are not right-wing Republicans ya tard.
302Riz 02-21-2008, 08:00 PM The New York Times is as communitst\libral rag as they get. The timing couldnt be more suspect. Id be concerned if he did it in 2008. But 8 years ago?
TheLateGreat 02-21-2008, 08:02 PM I could not possibly care less.
observe this 02-21-2008, 08:17 PM It's all politics and aren't we all sick of it. The system need to be revised but who will do?
Best chance === Obama. No matter who wins we're all in for a rude awakening.
Truth Teller 02-22-2008, 03:39 PM What Republican did the NY Times endorse?
Hmmm?
Java_man 02-22-2008, 03:47 PM The good news is today, that geezer could not get his "Inappropriate" up without a case of viagra
Chachma v'Oz 02-22-2008, 04:46 PM His great-granddaddy Lucas McCain would be proud.
Corporate Avenger 02-22-2008, 11:35 PM It has to do with what a worthless fraud he is, he pretends he's not a typical Washington hustler, and so does the media, yet he's buddy buddy with lobbyists.
Cherry 02-23-2008, 12:23 PM I think the Washington post article yesterday is far more damaging to McCain. The article basically calls him a liar on his claims that he never met with nor acted on the behalf of clients of the now famous lady lobbist. It reveals a letter from the FCC saying that McCains actions were inappropriate and conflicted with FCC policy. It includes a solid source in the retired client contradicting McCains statements.
McCain is very very lucky though it came out at a time far ahead of the general campaign.

He is also lucky that most people have forgotten he was one of the 'Keating 5' lobbyist scandal

I thnk that hurts him far more than the sex does.
