can't you just export it to a dvd-r or something like that?

It's unfortunately not a 'simple' thing to do.

You didn't specify whether you are using a Mac or a PC.

I would start with reading through this link, and let us know if you still have questions. It's not exactly the same as moving to a second computer, but you will probably need to first move it to an external drive in order to get it onto the other computer.

I have something like 5000 songs. Wouldn't that take a lot of CD's, DVD's?

You can fit over 800 mp3's at 192kbps on a DVDR (that's being generous, you could probably get more). It'll take 4-6 DVDR's for 5000 songs. At 50 cents a pop, it's not bad.

I think it took about 4 or 5 for mine, I have around 18gb

Or invest in an external hard drive. Or if you're using macs look into what 'target mode' is or use your network.

I did go this route ( external drive ) my next question is......I was bad and did some limewire stuff on my old comp, I want to do it RIGHT on my new comp. So I backed up all my stuff, and now on the new one I have this "Limewire" file on itunes. How can I delete it? It won't let me that I can tell.
