Tom Cruise has branded the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) liars for saying the air was clean after 9/11. The 'Mission Impossible' star has revealed how, as a Scientologist, he recognized there was a problem and provided rescue workers in the aftermath of the New York terrorist attack with detoxification therapy based upon the works of Scientologist founder L. Ron Hubbard...

...The 45-year-old star claims Scientologists "are the authorities" and need no permission to take action. He said: "A Scientologist is somebody who can look at the world and really see it for what it is. And not just see it but be able to go 'pow' and actually do something about it. And be somebody who is not asking permission to do that. Why ask permission? We are the authorities."

Well, the EPA were indeed liars for saying the air was clean after 9/11. That's true. The other stuff he's saying is absolute craziness though.

Apart from Cruise proselytising for Scientology he is absolutely correct. The EPA and Captain Rudy 9/11 under pressure from Karl Rove's office played down health problems (and continue to do so) at Ground Zero, it was "just concrete dust" - all that to avoid costly law suits by 9/11 volunteers and those in the path of the wind blown debris.

Let's not also forget they are STILL finding human remains in the excavations there, six years after we were told it was all clear.

They are into a lot of kooky stuff...and they really do like to actively suppress anything that shows them in a bad light. In that sense, they're a very scary group (I won't say it's a religion...the "church" of scientology was created solely as a way for L. Ron to avoid taxes).
