How do I download a short vid from You Tube?

youtube videos are stored on their servers as FLV (flash video) format and they require a player with support for flv on your computer to play them locally. Also they are not exactly publicly available for download on the site. you will need a plugin/extension for your browser to get them. check out the VideoDownloader extension for mozilla firefox.
