Clinton was a Republican Sen. McCain would be saying the exact opposite in that clip regarding Somalia. :hmm: fat mike 01-02-2008, 11:28 AM possibly true-i dont know though-i think racism is part of it with the americans attitude with Somalia lamja00 01-02-2008, 11:35 AM possibly true-i dont know though-i think racism is part of it with the americans attitude with Somalia What's up FM. What about with respect to Iraq? Do you think it's racism with respect to Iraq? I found it humorous that in the clip that Sen. McCain (with respect to Somalia) is talking about cutting the funds, and citing the US Constitution; however, the Iraq war is unconstitutional, yet he has consistently funded it. fat mike 01-02-2008, 03:39 PM racism certainly hampered the effectiveness of the american effort there-i liked the idea of remaking Iraq into a stronghold of democracy ala Japan because of american material interests and Israel but as long as we're not ignoring that part of the world i guess it doesnt matter if we're there exactly-i dont think the party faithful among the democrats are really espoousing isolationism-it seems a shame to start something and not finish though |
