Generally speaking, I really don't care what the hell kind of shoes a woman is wearing.

why must it be a psychosexual draw? why cant a woman simply think a pair of shoes are cute without it meaning anything?

also, i dont wear cute shoes all of the time, but when i do i feel pretty. :hmm:

i wear them for myself and i absolutely wouldnt want anyone to think sexually of me simply because i'm wearing them or otherwise.

its just the extreme excited reaction women have towards shoes

They have the same kind of extreme excited reaction as you have towards young boys. Some things just get people off.

I think it's just because heels are a distinctly feminine thing in our society. Just like skirts, long hair, jewelry, etc. Women like to be feminine, and men like women who act like women. On the other side, women like men to act distinctly masculine, like chopping down a tree or whatever.

I refuse to wear heels everyday just for the cute factor, of course unless they are comfy. For comfy high heels, I go with the wide heel anyday. Of course I drive the ole man wild when I wear them. He loves the way it accentuates my calves:D

Huh.
Just give me a man in pointy-toe cowboy boots. Those are "cute", too.

Yessir...

explain the need for men to obsess over a new tv or car or game or whatever...

You spend far too much time trying to understand what you come to know as femenine behaviour when the same fundamental traits are found in men. So if you really think about it, you should already know the answer.

So when I wear my peep-toe pumps, I'm unknowingly turning people on?

Respectfully submit that you at least partially know what you're up to. :|

Respectfully,

I'm not exactly clocking some girl's feet.

Although I do have a thing for a solid pair of Doc Martins..natch.

Shoe worship will always be a time-honored tradition. But if the styles never change, we have nothing new to oogle over. :|

iono. I just think they make me pretty. BUT my shoes depend on my mood too.. so it's also expression.
I own everything from docs, to cowboy boots, to flip flops to stilettos. I like em all! ;)

I can't even understand why I have a psycho-sexual attraction to cute shoes on women, so how would I have any clue what their attraction to them is?

a shoe has to be pretty good if its going to draw my eye away from her

ha! well if oyu think about it.. from a purely darwinian perspective.. it's preening. It accentuates the legs, makes you look more femenine (heels create curves in the way they make you stand) and ultimately, the colors and whatnot are like a peacocks feathers. Another aspect of the mating ritual.

historical evidence relating to high heels is as follows: women slaves used to be kept from running away by strapping wedges to their feet. Today, we see this in high heels style shoes. The feminist in me loathes the idea, but the girly girl in me just likes to have lots of shoes.
