My mom and I have been making these together every Christmas since I was really little...so I thought I'd share our special Peanut Butter Ball recipe. :)
Ingredients:
2 Sticks of butter
1 Jar of Peanut Butter (18oz.) (crunchy or creamy, whichever you prefer)
4 cups of powdered sugar
4 cups of Rice Crispies cereal
Milk chocolate (the kind for candy-making)
Directions:
Mix the butter, peanut butter, powdered sugar, and Rice Crispies in a big bowl (melt the butter before adding).
Place mixture in fridge to firm.
After the mixture is firm, roll into little balls (you may have to use a spoon to break the mixture apart).
Place back in frige to cool (otherwise, it gets all melty and just makes a big mess).
After your balls are hard (haha :D), melt the chocolate in the microwave (the time varies between different chocolate amounts, brands, and the make of your microwave).
Dip your balls in the hot chocolate (ouch!), and place on wax paper to cool.
Store them in your fridge or freezer.
These are best served cold and with a big glass of milk. :)
Enjoy! :D :D :D :D
