Ron Paul speech in the House of Representatives

What I have said today is different from what is said and accepted in Washington as conventional wisdom, but it is not in conflict with our history or our constitution. It's a policy that has, whenever tried, generated more peace and prosperity than any other policy for dealing with foreign affairs. The authors of the Constitution clearly understood this. Since the light of truth shines brightest in the darkness of evil and ignorance, we should all strive to shine that light.

Now, if I only knew, does he write his own speeches. (Note: I detest handlers and speechwriters)

I like his wanting to use bounty hunters (ie Letters of Marque and Reprisals). X billion dollars for the heads of Osama & and the Gang would have every bounty hunter (and hopefully Dog if his troubles cleared up in Mexico) on his trail.

I doubt he has a speechwriter, but he probably has people edit and look over the speeches (as anyone would). He shows talent as an off-the-cuff speaker and is pretty consistent about his beliefs - I'm convinced that he believes what he says, unlike many other politicians.

I scanned the speech and it looks like it should have been televised after 9/11
