View Full Version : The ghost of Chistmas past
jwreck 12-17-2007, 03:56 AM Okay, so not really Christmas, but once again, when I went out tonight, I ran into an old buddy from my bartending days. he's opening his own club. i was so tempted to inquire about a job. I know that is the last thing I need right now. the whole reason I moved away from that life is the negative impact it had on me. Yet, I feel myself drawn back to it. Its something I know. Its something I was very good at. Its something that in the end would consume me. At the same time, its something I had a helluva lot of fun doing. I don't know if I'm strong enough for this temptation. God it wouldn't take anything for me to once again be waist deep in half naked chics slinging drinks...
Foul Temptress 12-17-2007, 11:58 AM I am still bartending on the side after 8 years. It is hard to give up! You have to make the right decision for you. Maybe just go back for one day a week or something, for extra cash flow and the enjoyment of it.
optimus 12-17-2007, 03:07 PM Why did bartending have a negative impact on you J?
jwreck 12-17-2007, 06:27 PM Why did bartending have a negative impact on you J?I easily fall into the partying lifestyle. I can't really explain other than it tends to suck you in and take over. You drink/work till 4am, go for breakfast with the crew, go home and crash. Wake up at 4 pm and do it again. Its a helluva lot of fun, it has a price.

Sounds more like a coke problem.
Foul Temptress 12-19-2007, 04:12 PM You just can't fall into the routine. I never drink when I bartend. It is a rule I have, and when I close I go home. No late nighters with the drunkards. Yeah, it definately can be fun, but you have to set priorities for yourself.

Especially if I went back to work with my old buddies.
jwreck 12-19-2007, 07:22 PM I've been considering bouncing a bit again instead. Less money, but less involvement. Then maybe skytrooper could come to my club...:)

Not much of a drinker.....but I would be more than happy to come to your club. Where is it?
I did some bouncing myself.....once at the Crazy Horse Saloon Myrtle Beach SC and more than one military bars. I think my most enjoyable bar was the Flaming Mug in Fayetteville NC.....military/biker bar.....Special Forces use to hang out there too.....not a job for the weak kneed or the leak of stomach....blood was a very night thing.....I would have to change my t-shirt once a night and at least 3 times on a weekend.
Tell you what Jwreck, you let me know where and when you will be working and if I and my brother can get there we will see if you and the rest of your bouncers can throw us out. If Chuck cannot make it, I will bring a HA buddy of mine.

Find out......dude I might have lied about being black but my military service is true.
I bet you dont even know the first rule of bouncing......
I see you one of those fags with the double earring crap.....those are great anchors of steering your head into a knee or painful when they get jerked out.....some of the more faggish bikers worn them....I used to have a nice collection of them.

Do you sometimes pretend online to be a professional wrassler, who is himself pretending to be a real wrassler?
