Can anyone tell me if this is really going on or if I'm just being messed with? I teach at a university and recently during a class discussion a student mentioned something called "glueballing"??? It caught me off guard because I'm usually on top of the kids' lingo, but had no idea what this could be. He, and the rest of the class, went on to describe it as a sexual practice where both partners apply hair styling products to their genitals before having sex???? Seriously?? They HAVE to be goofing on me right? I can't fathom it. Wouldn't it hurt at some point?

Uhhhhh... I can say I've never heard of it, and I'm not exactly a prude in such areas...

Google turns up nothing readily.

I've never heard of it, either.

Neither have I.

Urban Dictionary doesn't have anything for that per se, but you might want to check this out:

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Glue+Balls

This may be where your student got the idea.

Never heard of it

That sounds pretty dumb. You're supposed to put something down there that'll lubricate you, not make you stick together. :P

I'm curious..What kind of class exactly are you teaching? What are the pre- requisites for entering such a programme and how do they compare to the to the subjects I am currently taking? I have maintained a near excellant grade point average incidently..

The bit of time I took to research it didn't help much either. Mostly I found the term being used as a hazing ritual of sorts and also a 'gag' sex act...which I don't quite get anyway.

The guy was messing with you. There is no term unless he newly decided to name his new hobby. It likely is some kind of hazing thing. Have to keep being inventive for these rites of passage.

Elsewise, Sir you did not answer my question. What subject do you teach that invites such a topic?

Sorry, I thought I had inserted that in my last post. I was teaching an Ethics class on that particular day. As for your question on its prerequisites, the class is part of Harvard's Doctorate of Ed. and therefore the list is quite long and dizzying. Without absolutely knowing, I would suggest a ton and a half of philosophy classes.

So this is a class that teaches morals in what is good and bad and how your own actions might affect others? If so, I think you might have heard the term blueballing, which in my opinion is a form of poor ethics. Very poor ethics. I mean whatever you might want people to do, you should in return do the same.
