It's a must have book for any home gastronaut.

Honestly...almost anything you need to know about good solid home cooking can be found in this book.

Want to learn about Braising? It's in there. Broiling, butchering, sauces, soups, poultry, beef, fish...whatever you need to know.

The book is in its 75th year and while it's based on time honoured recipes and methods it has evolved to meet todays mealtime requirements.

And it makes an awesome Christmas prezzy! :nice:

That's a cool book, but you really need some cooking experience and know-how to get full use out of it. I got the book when I was first learning how to cook and it was like reading stereo instructions. 10 years later I am much more experienced around a kitchen and find the book more enjoyable.
