View Full Version : Got the new roll bar in!!!
Fordman50 08-01-2001, 10:32 AM I just got my new 4 point Autopower roll bar in from Rosenmotorsports and it looks GREAT! It fits like a glove too in my 94 Mustang converible GT. I recomend it highly. Its thick and well made too. I will post pics in the future. My back seat is still completely accessable and I will feel safer driving now *** well. As an added bonus the car look really sporty now. I was concerned about it looking strange on a vert

Rebel79 08-02-2001, 05:16 PM Yeah me too!
Snouter 08-02-2001, 05:17 PM I would recommend roll bars for every Stang. I have the Autopower 6 point roll cage. It makes for a more safer situation and then you can install real seat harnesses instead of the stock seat belt.
Fordman50 08-02-2001, 05:19 PM Did you guys bolt them or weld them in?

Snouter 08-02-2001, 10:45 PM I just left mine bolted. By the way, do you have welded in subframe connectors? They are essential also.
Fordman50 08-03-2001, 10:52 AM I am have custom make heavy duty subs welded in this weekend with a plate/tab under the rear floor pans for the rollbar to bolt through. I will get the guys to weld the rear roll bar stays too will there at it since I havent put the seat back in yet. Actually I havent even put all the bolts in either. Im stoked! I cant wait to see how stiff all this is going to make my vert and how it will handle. http://discussanything.com/Ubb/biggrin.gif

So when are you going to debut the 'vert? We haven't had a gathering of Stang guys in a while.

They sure do. I went out to Garden Ridge one weekend and wasn't too impressed. The coolest thing out there was the planes coming into the airport flying so low they looked like they were going to give you a haircut.
Do you know where Chesterfield Meadows is at on Rt. 10? They have a gathering on friday nights that makes the rest of the cruises look small! Oh yea...and tomorrow night if it doesn't rain I'm going to be breaking neck to try and get into the 12's...if you're not doing anything it would be nice to have some witnesses http://discussanything.com/Ubb/wink.gif

I put a powermaster alternator in and it feels like it's picked up a little power. Also, I'm going to pull the air filter completely at the track and ice the intake. I'm going to try running 93 and bumping the timing up a little too. There was 10 hp in the 100+ degree heat in removing the air filter on the dyno, so I'd imagine that it ought to gain me 1/10th or so, and then I know there's power to be had in icing the intake and bumping the timing...it's just how much is there? I want that 12 on real street tires!

Fordman50 08-17-2001, 08:10 AM Nic, try ghetto boost. rig up a setup with a trigger and a can of either starting spray!
I may not make the track but I want to hit the meadows. When you leave can you go to the meadows?
