BMW has redesigned the mini with its first real overhall in 40 years. It new mini will have a base of 115 HP and a super charged version with 165 HP versus about 75 HP on the older models. In 2002 they will be available in the U.S. too but its said that while they may look like a small econo box, they wont be cheap http://discussanything.com/Ubb/frown.gif

They are featured in last months Car and Driver and Motor Trend.

My only rpoblem, they don't look so compact. They icnreased overal length a fair amount.

They seem underpowered for the price.

But the saftey/handling features BMW tossed in make it seem like a very interesting package...
