Canadian Zombies tend to have much longer lifespans due to the cold weather. As a result, they have time to develop cunning and wisdom, and are a harder foe to fight off than your South Pacific Zombies.

"Beware! A strange zombie virus seems to be spreading across the globe. It started in Toronto, Canada, next popped up in Madison, USA, before jumping the Pacific and landing in Brisbane early this month.

I have it on good authority that the outbreak will hit Sydney tomorrow, with the undead massing at Town Hall at 2pm before lurching to the Opera House.

Organiser Rachel Young says everyone seems to have a secret desire to get in touch with their inner zombie.

And for those who can't claw their way out of the grave in time, Young says there will probably be another lurch in Sydney for the Under the Blue Moon gothic festival in early September.
