so, my birthday is next weekend and i have zero plans so far. sometimes these are the best birthdays because more happens than you may have planned for.

my birthday wishes, though, are (in no particular order):

a) a stand up bass miraculously appearing in trunk of my car with a big red bow and a card declaring that i have a secret, nonsexually interested, admirer loaded with musical instruments with my name on

b) pair of comfortable though lovely work shoes that make my feet look feminine and stupendous

c) piano in livingroom with big yellow ribbon cascading down side of with note from parents saying they love and miss me

d) persian dinner with loads of friends hoisting me on their shoulders declaring my every word of the day to be funny and lovely

e) a golden ticket to travel anywhere in the world (woot!)

f) loads of flutes standing in corner of bedroom with no bows, just a card from sister or similar saying the we should start a musical band that tours by foot in comfortable footwear

g) and others not yet thought of

h) well wishes from online friendos.

I want this, too! I already have a piano, but I'd take another one. Like maybe the gorgeous piano Steinway made in honor of Gershwin called "Rhapsody in Blue." I think it'd cost about as much as a house, though. :-/

i've coveted the stand up bass for so many years and were it not for the fact that they cost more than nearly one month's rent and were it not for the fact that they probably stand taller than i do, i would have had one by now.
