View Full Version : Summer 07 so far? Adi 07-31-2007, 01:34 AM How has the summer been for you thus far?? Good, bad, in-between, great and so on and so on and so on....:D Miss Misery 07-31-2007, 03:15 AM a potent combination of craptastic and holy-shit-i-could-die-now-and-be-happy. wallflower 07-31-2007, 03:32 AM Summer? Raining, overcast, and raining. That is all. :( Ironweed 07-31-2007, 06:53 AM Very bad. The ****bags who were supposed to buy my house have walked. :( Betrade 07-31-2007, 07:59 AM Worst summer in years. I basically went broke around June due to an unexpected and severe lack of work, and have been playing catch up all summer. I'm busy again, but summer is almost over, and I haven't done shit except worry about money. I had to rob Peter to pay Paul for a few months, and now Peter wants his money back; with interest. I start a part time job this week (it took me over 4 months to convince this guy to hire me part time). I hope it works out. I only need to make about a grand to get caught up. I've been debt free for years, and now I'm not, and I hate it. I'm also pissed off that I didn't see this coming. If I had, I could have prepared. Money is great, but when you run out of it, or don't make enough to pay the bills for more than a month, it becomes a constant source of anxiety. Once you fall behind, it takes forever just to get back to zero. That's what my summer has been. We still have about 6 weeks of warm weather, so I hope to get these bills paid of, or at least under control, and do something before it gets cold. Saison 07-31-2007, 08:19 AM It's better than a bunch I've had lately. Busier for sure. I'm hoping next summer will be better, since we're in a lot of transition, right now. Feenix566 07-31-2007, 10:02 AM It's been great! I've gone rafting, to the beach, horseback riding, camping twice, went to the amusement park, went to two weddings. I've been dating a few girls but nothing serious has developed yet. My dodgeball season just started, and I've been playing volleyball both in a league and in my buddy's back yard. I've gone to a bunch of parties. My financial situation is pretty good. I've been riding my motorcycle a lot.... Terrapin 07-31-2007, 10:23 AM Been good so far:nice: I really hate humidity though:P Baboon 07-31-2007, 11:48 AM It's been good but not great. We just went through a system upgrade at work which forced me to cancel two planned weekend trips. Other than that, I've made the most of my weekends. August should be great. Amber 08-03-2007, 03:15 PM great! I just got back from my holiday in New Zealand! I spent six weeks there visiting a friend :) Most of the time we spent in the outdoors.. got to do some kayaking and snorkeling, the fjords are amazing ! One of the places we kayaked to was called Katikaki where there are some incredible historical murals. I got to go on both the northern and southern islands of New Zealand and we even went to Fiji for a bit... I'm essentially broke now but heck it was worth it! oki 08-03-2007, 05:56 PM soso, not bad really but I just heard Im gonna have to work an hour longer all august, dammit. :( Judy 08-05-2007, 10:51 PM soso, not bad really but I just heard Im gonna have to work an hour longer all august, dammit. :(dammit, people need you, so you must work longer ... a hug with love Snouter 08-17-2007, 12:50 AM Okay I guess. I wanted to go to Amsterdam to smoke some exotic pot and find some clean ladies of the evening, but just did not get around to it. :( Amber 08-17-2007, 04:31 PM Okay I guess. I wanted to go to Amsterdam to smoke some exotic pot and find some clean ladies of the evening, but just did not get around to it. :( :nonono: 86Dude 08-21-2007, 12:59 AM I lost my grandmother 2 days after her birthday this summer so it's forever marked in my memory. Plus it rained nonstop from April 29th to July 15th. Mystlet 08-21-2007, 09:33 AM Rain and cold, and cold rain. For weeks now. I will only know that summer has ended when the rain turns white. SpabSFW 08-21-2007, 11:30 AM lol, mystlet Corporate Avenger 08-27-2007, 09:32 AM Summer? What's that?? I haven't done anything other than go dirt bike riding every other weekend, haven't even been to the beach in the daytime, I'm dying to go to the beach. I think I'm gonna go this week since school is starting and school is near the beach.. Baboon 09-04-2007, 03:38 PM I got back Sunday from an eight day road trip down the coast to North Carolina. Lots of biking, beaching, and beering. (and of course, lots of driving) I want to go back. Working blows. Betrade 09-04-2007, 04:34 PM My summers' just starting to get better, and it will be over in a few weeks. I took my kids swimming at a nearby lake the other day for only the second time this year, and it was great. Unfortunately, they're only open for one more day next weekend. I was going to go on a canoe trip today, but my back hurts so damn bad I couldn't do it. I did manage to take my youngest son fishing a few times (we normally would have been at least 15 or 20 times by now), and we still have some time left for that, which I intend to take advantage of. I hate winter with a passon, and I hate a wasted summer, which is what I had this year for the most part, but at least I spent most of my free time with my kids, so it's not all bad, and I'm thankful for it. They'll be grown before I know it, so I try to make as many memories as I can while I have the chance, even if they're simple memories like day at the lake. It seems like when I ask them their favorite memories, it's always the simple ones that seem to hold more meaning for them. Maria K. 09-12-2007, 03:32 AM Only the calendar calls this summer summer  observe this 09-13-2007, 10:58 PM Been away all summer (no not involunterally) no computer, no newspapers, no tv. I wanted to go to Amsterdam to smoke some exotic pot and find some clean ladies of the evening, but just did not get around to it. :( Wonder if TAIJA ( ) in the red Light District is still there?:hmm: UK Girl 09-23-2007, 03:14 PM We had the worst floods ever in England this so called summer, rain rain and more rain, never got a tan, just wet ! Cindy Kaliayev 09-26-2007, 05:37 PM Yep, its true. I think we had about 3 good weeks of uninterrupted sun, about the end of August and start of September. Apart from that - terrible. SivVulk 09-29-2007, 03:34 PM for the most part the summer was very stressful and i felt isolated from most of my friends... I recall working the Warped Tour and spent 14 hours in the pit grabbing people who were crowd surfing and taking them out of the pit... The entire day I smelt like weed, blood, urine, sweat and god knows what else :P but on the other hand i got to meet my two favourite musicians, Sting and Avril :nice: turtle_o 10-01-2007, 09:57 AM Any summer that isnt LAST summer ('06) is a GREAT summer. :) I've had a lot of fun this summer, I also moved out of my parents house, and started a new job. 92Notch 10-06-2007, 08:22 AM twass good, thanks for asking. |
