Heh. If you lived in L.A. I'd tell you to look my father up. He owns an accountancy firm and (I think?) is looking to hire one more.

you do have a point. i know someone in the office i work (i study part time) who completed his acca professional exams the year Ayrton Senna died and he'd be older then my father.
i know accountancy bodies give people 10 years since registering with them to complete all exams and then after 10 years they start losing passes. as i did college for 3 years with granted me exemptions to 9 exams and took a year out so i've 9 and a half years to complete these exams
with the college exemptions i think the age of peoople gaining exemptions and becoming fully qualified accountants is earlier then in the past
though i think those who perform best at the exams (coming in 1st or 2nd in ireland or the world) are those who wait a few years into their professional career to do the exams
the experience is a big thing. i do actually need 3 years while currently i only have 1 1/2 years

Accounting in Ireland has got to be a much different animal than it is here-I actually get along with accountants-yes they look at me like I'm an alien but I think it's something about their job being so tedious and exhausting that gives us a connection...
At any rate,give 'em heck!!
