Are you talking multiracial or multicultural? Because most of the clashes you've listed were due to culture clash (ie. Yugoslavia), not racial struggles, per se. Though that's not to say that multicultural societies can't work, either.

Actually, according to your reasoning here, what society *has* worked? Nearly every country has been involved in some sort of upheaval or crime problem or riot or something along those lines, at some point.

The only clash that I listed that could be considered multicultural would be Yugoslovia. Its actually Christian versus Muslims.

I agree 100%. The differentiation between racial & cultural clashes is a point sorely overlooked in most discussions on this issue.

What kind of rebuttal is that? We've existed under the same constitution for a lot longer than most countries especially, Rhodesia, Russia, Yugoslavia, Russia, Isreal, and South Africa.

Why even bother making this distinction? From the mindset on this board anyone who
stands against dissimiliar ethnicity, race, culture, or whatever immediately earns the "racist" label.

If the violence seen in north central England a few months back wasn't evidence of race war than I do not know what is. Asians stabbing white men, white men stabbing Asians. As it now goes so it has always been. The great socialist state of England presents little evidence of racial harmony.

Okay, can you name a mono-racial society that has "worked"? No . . . they all fell, too. EVERY human society is doomed to fail eventually. It's all a matter of control. Rome lasted so long because she had CONTROL over her people (violence). Remove the control, remove the society.

Race problems arise because someone needs a scapegoat to blame things on . . . EITHER side. Economic disparity is also another lovely one (French Revolution, anyone?).

Ah, but the question is somewhat loaded.

Here's the deal. Single minded people will RARELY have problems. If you have a society of me's, Bill's, Cosmo's, and the like, then no, you're probably not going to have much social/political problem. However, you can't MAINTAIN a culture like that. Eventually, we'd let Slayr in and, well, it would all go to hell in a hurry (but fun, though!).

You can't make a free, 100% conformist culture, especially today. Culture is overstepping racial bounds. I have white friends that would be great Black Panthers and I have black friends that would get kicked out of the KKK for being over-zealous.

You can no longer segregate along racial bounds. You have to look deeper now.

I agree with that to some extent, some stoneage dudes were probably first to inhabit Britannia, they were probably about one step ahead of Neanderthals and were the ones that built all those stone circles like Stonehenge. The Druids brushed them aside; they probably practiced genocide on them. Then the Celts came in, then the Romans, the Vikings, the Saxons, the Anglos, the Normans. That’s a taste of their history. In recent times others have been introduced and there has been some violence, but there always was.

In my opinion: all of Europe is the original melting pot. The spread of Rome and the Holy Crusades saw to that. There is no racial purity in Europe and there hasn’t been for a long time.
