Did anyone else have their bullshit detector going through the roof during Dubya's speech?

In short it was the same stuff he said for the last 6 years. Just a little slicker approach.

I can't watch him speak. :hmm:

I didn't even watch it because I knew it was going to be the same thing he has been saying over and over again.

I have been living in a world where Bush is but a distant rumor for a long time now.

But it is hilarious that he is emboying the opposite of 'give peace a chance' :)
Hilarious and tragic. Oh well, better not get started: this is such a lovely evening.

The only bullshit detector that honestly goes off is when a leftist like you claims for "peace".

As a general rule, I never do.
Please, someone tell me he did not actually say the words, give war a chance . :barf: ;)

Not in so many words, no. He's just trying to tell us that, just because he's been wrong every single step of the way so far, we shouldn't stop giving him blind trust and completely trust his judgment as he tries to escalate his war on the Iraqis.

I still can't believe anyone ever supported this idiot or his insanely stupid and dishonest porkbarrel of blood.

I watched the whole speech. It wasnt slicker in fact it was at best a mediocre preformance. Are you sure this guy is a conservative? He seems to favor a big government approach. Most of what he said appeared to appeal to Dems rather than Repubs. Like I believe that this firggen idiot and the congress can cut spending. Yeah right. the ethanol thing is just plain silly. Lets take all of our food and turn it into gas. We can spend 1 gal. of fossil fuel growing it and wind up with 1 gal. of ethanol. Great deal for the farmer though Corn is going through the roof. BTW look for a significant rise in you food bill as this plan goes into effect.

The only bullshit detector that honestly goes off is when a leftist like you claims for "peace".I think "peace" to liberals means letting the other guy do whatever he wants...regardless of the consequences.

Mmm... Not sure who the 'you' is in your post, but why would you sense bullshit when a leftist 'claims for peace'? Can you explain?
Is there something about being left of center that makes it impossible to genuinely want peace?
Lets jump down the rabbit hole of your reasoning here and see what sense we can make of it.

Do you really think that?

I think Jim Webb's response hit the ball out of the park.

Letting Bush do what he wants...regardless of the consequences is exactly what Bush wants from America.

No, not genuinely WANT it... just completely unable to achieve it without losing all freedoms, liberties, the economy and national cohesion.

This claim begs for a bit of a demonstration.
You offer none.
