View Full Version : Bush hails abortion foes at annual rally
With abortion foes in a more defensive posture now that Democrats gained control of Capitol Hill, Bush urged them to do more than look toward legislative victories.
"We've all got to remember that a true culture of life cannot be built by changing laws alone. We've all got to work hard to change hearts," he said. "The sanctity of life is written in the life of all men and women. And so I think, go forth with confidence that a cause rooted in human dignity and appealing to the best instincts of our citizens cannot fail."

I guess he's excluding the 3,000+ young Americans that have died under his command in Iraq ?
BooRadley 01-22-2007, 09:56 PM I almost went down there today to take pictures of the rally, but it was crappy and cold out. I probably should have, they're usually overflowing with emotion, which makes good photography, but I just didn't have it in me.
Mystlet 01-22-2007, 10:04 PM I thought the thread said 'hurls' abortion foes. This thread isn't as exciting as I predicted. :(
he's gonna do a lot of stuff like this
KanuckiStang 01-22-2007, 10:46 PM Bush must be beside himself with the blood of tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi human beings on his hands if he's this uppity about zygotes.
Oh, wait: He's a Christian. Does that mean he loves the feel of warm blood running down his arms?
h2g2Fan 01-22-2007, 11:03 PM Jojo, I have a proposal for you:
If you spend a couple of hours as an escort for women seeking abortion services, I will do the equivalent, pro-life related activity.

It's a push man.
h2g2Fan 01-22-2007, 11:05 PM I don't know what that means. Was it a yes, or a no?
A push. You know, like in black jack. Nooone gains anything.
I'll do it. But I get to pick the ladies.
so what is an equivalent activity?
h2g2Fan 01-22-2007, 11:08 PM What is an equivalent, pro-life related activity I can do?
I see a bunch of people standing in front of the Supreme Court with red tape over their mouths with the word "LIFE" on it, to indicate that their views are not heard by the Supreme Court.
You have to sit through an entire pro-life church sermon.
Make it Methodist. HAHAHAHA!!!
h2g2Fan 01-22-2007, 11:09 PM I'm trying very hard not to suggest my bombing of an abortion clinic. That's humor that is not needed here.

Fair enough.
Go armed friend. :)

Sounds great, dude. I'm going to be sinning in Atlantic City this weekend, but I could do it on Superbowl Sunday. Do Methodist Churches often post their sermon topics online? I usually attend a Unitarian Church, and I can just go to the website to see what it's about. (I guess the real question is, how do I know whether it will be about abortion.)
h2g2Fan 01-22-2007, 11:12 PM Are sermons always about abortion? haha

A Unitarian congregation is the last place you wanna go to meet young single ladies friend. Really.
Just remember Gods presence is found everywhere, including smoke filled casinos. If you win big, remember who made it all possible. If you lose your shirt just be thankful for what ya still got.
Good luck. Have fun. :)

Just call your local Planned Parenthood to ask how to volunteer - anything they have you do (escort or non-escort) works for me. We should both post about our experiences on here, of course.
And, happy Roe v. Wade Day, friend.
